IBPS (PO) exam pattern

There are three stages in this exam.

  • Preliminary exam
  • Main exam

  • This paper is of 100 marks and 100 questions are asked in it.
  • 30 questions are asked from English, 35-35 questions from Quantitative Aptitude and Reasoning.

  • It consists of 157 (155 objective and two writing) questions.

  • The section of Reasoning and Computer Aptitude consists of 45 questions. This section is of 60 marks and only 60 minutes are given in it.
  • The section of English and data analysis consists of 35-35 questions. It consists of 40 and 60 marks respectively and the time given is 40 and 45 minutes.
  • The next section is of General Economy and Banking. For this 40 questions, 40 marks and 35 minutes have been kept.
  • After this, there is a section of English only, but an essay and letter have to be written in it. This section is of 25 marks and 30 minutes are given for this.
  • Interview

After passing the main exam, you have to give an interview. It is of 100 marks and it is necessary to get 40% marks for general category and 35% for others.

IBPS clerk exam pattern

This is also an online exam but only the first two stages are there. Interview is not taken.

  • preliminary examination

This exam is like PO. In this section also there is a minus marking of 0.25 marks for every wrong answer.

  • main exam

This is also an objective type paper. A total of 190 questions are asked in this.

You get a total time of 160 minutes in the exam, 0.25 marks are deducted for every wrong answer.

The first section is General Financial Awareness. It consists of 50 questions. This section is of 50 marks and 35 minutes are given for this.

The next section is of English. It has 40 questions, 40 marks and 35 minutes duration.

After this there is the section of Reasoning and Computer Aptitude. It consists of 50 questions. This section is of 60 marks and the time allotted for it is 45 minutes.

The fourth section is of quantitative aptitude. It also consists of 50 questions. There are total 50 marks and the time given is 45 minutes.

A final merit list is prepared after the results of both the exams.

The full form of IBPS RRB exam is IBPS Regional Rural Banks Exam.

Recruitment is done in rural area banks through this exam. In this too, there is selection for both office assistant and officer posts.

If you apply for Assistant Grade then you have to go through Preliminary Exam and Main Exam. For Officer Scale I, one has to clear the interview after both these rounds. Whereas for Officer Scale II and III there is a single level exam and interview.

The age limit is different for each post in RRB exam.
